Accessibility
In short
- We aim to meet the WCAG 2.2 level AA guidelines.
- Some things still aren't right (for example, parts of the 3D demos with a keyboard or a screen reader).
- If something doesn't work for you, write to us and we'll give you an alternative.
This summary helps you find your way; it doesn't replace the full text.
1. Our commitment
We want the sites to work with a screen reader, with a keyboard alone, zoomed in, with reduced motion and on any screen size. We're aiming for the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
As a microenterprise providing services, The Mariscal is exempt from the requirements of Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act) and the Croatian law that implements it. We publish this statement anyway, because it matters to us. What we build for clients is designed to meet those requirements when the client is bound by them.
2. What we already do
- Real text (not pictures of text), with enough contrast and sizes you can enlarge.
- Keyboard navigation and a visible focus on buttons, links and forms; controls of at least 44 × 44 pixels on phones.
- Animations and 3D rotations switch off if your system asks for reduced motion.
- Light and dark mode, and a layout designed for phones.
- The interface is available in Spanish, English and Croatian.
3. What still isn't right
- The 3D demos (the configurators, the cube, the publishing house) can't be fully used with a keyboard alone or with a screen reader.
- Some course videos don't have subtitles or a transcript yet.
- Some decorative illustrations and 3D models don't have a full description.
- The YouTube player relies on YouTube's own accessibility.
We review accessibility every time we rebuild a screen. This statement was prepared on 11 October 2026 through a self-assessment.
4. Ask for an alternative
If something doesn't work for you, write to hey@themariscal.com and tell us what you were trying to do and what you were using (a screen reader, a keyboard, a magnifier…). We'll reply within 5 working days and give you the content in a format you can use.
